Identifying LSD tranny's?
I have access to a wrecked b15 2.0 sentra. How do I find out if has LSD or not? Is there a certain number or letter in the vin or anywhere else on the car?

Just look at the tranny. There should be a bump on the pass. side where the LSD is. If it's flat, no LSD..

The bump is on the drivers side not the passengers side.

Matt, and everybody else... I know by looking at the tranny, but I don't have access to looking under the car yet. I was thinking maybe the vin code or something else I could tell the guy instead of "the bump on the driver side of the tranny". It's been hit in the driver front, so if worse comes to it, I'll see if I can bring my jack over there and take a peak. Any other info would be great, but it looks like I may just have to crawl under there. I appreciate any and all info, so thanks so far.

You can stick your hand down there and feel for it Pop the hood!

You don't need to crawl under the car to see it. If it feels flat, there's no LSD to be found.

I'll try that, but it's kinda crunched in that area. I know the engine and tranny are fine though, so I'll see if I can get my arm down there or at least look in there. Thanks.
