B&M short shifter
How can I find out if one is a real one?

I have seen pictures and they look like they all have a blue base (looking from inside the car after the shift boot is off). But I've also seen cheap ebay SS with that color. Searching didnt do me any good :/

Long story short, my friend hates having an SS and wants to trade with me for a stocker (don't ask me why) and the deal is that we trade if I do the labor.

Knockoff will be cheap.

B&M discontinued the sr20 shifter, so if you find a new one, jump on it. Also they came with a weighted shift knob that says B&M on it, so that's another way to tell its a real one.

well, theres no price on it. Long story short again...

Its my buddy's NX that was originally brought into my circle of friends my me a year and a half ago and changed hands a few times and when I bought it I was told that it had a B&M short shifter, but had a stock knob... I was just wondering is it would say B&M anywhere on it?

So yeah this is definitely used and a more than a couple years old, but doesn't rattle and shifts very tightly.

A B&M will be made out of steel, not aluminum, if that helps.

I've been sporting my stillen short shifter for over a year with a greddy counterweight shift knob - A+ in my books.

In case you can't find a b&m

This might answer your question - I can't use the stock leather knob with the stock leather shifter surround and my B&M shifter. The damn thing simply won't screw down as the threaded portion of the shifter is shorter.
