Thread: det motor to de

i was wondering how my motor would run if i was to make my det motor de. take off the turbo and install stock de injectors. will the compression have a big performance loss. im not looking for speed with the de just so its reliable

It will run jus fine, a tad bit slow but jus fine

^^^^^^^^^^ yeah with what seems to be some long arse gears because of the low compression.

Tom whats going on man? What issues are you having with boost?

...maybe you should just go to a stock det computer / maf / injectors on low
boost. I have had my setup like that for a year and a half. Still no problems except for a blown third gear on a 150k trans but if you don't shift like an idiot you don't have anything to worry about.
