Out the bottom for me. I leave the tranny on and axles in the trans, drop it down then use 2 jacks and bring the car up high enough and pull it out from under the car with the crossmember. The install is the same way cept I push it under the car and lower the car back onto the jack stand then pull it up with the hoist.
