dude first get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. I honestly don't know why you would throw all that loot into a build and rely on the stock sending unit.

I have visually confirmed that the oil is draining back into the pan overnight. After the car sits for a few hours and I remove the oil filter, there is no oil in the filter. The oil is supposed to stay up there. The light and OPS were working perfectly fine with the old engine (stayed on for no more then 1 sec. at the most on startup warm or cold.)
Every time I start up my car after it has been sitting overnight, my whole engine has to build oil pressure back up.

With anti-drainback filters the oil is supposed to stay... what kind of filter are you running? if it's not OEM or purolator then don't expect the oil to stay in. Also if you want peace of mind, just disconn the fuel pump fuse or rig up a switch so you can build up oil pressure before running the engine (just crank the engine with power to the pump cut off).

I had a similar problem on one of my dets. It was the lower pan impeding the flow to the sump because it was slightly dented up into it.

How does your lower pan look? Is it flat or does it have a slight concave look to it?

I have decided that before I continue with anything, tomorrow I am switching out the lower pan. I was reading up some threads on a 240 board and a lot of people seemed to have this problem caused by oil pans that didn't even look bent. I am thinking maybe I overlooked something. I remember for a fact that the pan was not creased or bent badly, but it seems that even a little bit is more then enough from what I've read, so I am going to check tomorrow and I really hope I just missed something. I will update everyone tomorrow evening, with pics if it does end up to just be the pan.

I'd be more convinced if you had a gauge to confirm that. I believe you are overthinking this thing.

edit; Don't take it the wrong way. I think you built it right thats all.

I ordered the gauge last weekend and the site said it had it in stock, but the guys just told me today that they won't have it till tomorrow, so who knows when I will get it.
