Headgasket sealing issue
Here´s the situation.... I had predetonation on my DE and replaced my melted pistons with DET ones, changed my rod bearings and put together the engine with OEM headgasket with no problem. Raced the car at 7 psi normaly and the car ran good for a month or so. But last weekend decided to race with 11 psi and my headgasket blew so decided to open engine to see what was happening.

What I noticed is that I have pores around the jacket because of previous predetonation and the OEM headgasket seemes not to seal perfectly.

Need some advice from you fellas, do you think that a metallic headgasket could solve the issue? if so should I use a VVL or a cometic?

Here the pictures:

Did you have the block decked? also double check that the head is torqued right and the vvl has best fitment quality for fwd sr's.
