Ok, so I need motor mounts. Any recommendations?
I know what poly bushings feel like in the b13 and I'm not so sure I want that right now. I think I'd like to stay with new factory ones for a while, at least until I start upgrading other stuff.

I see these poly inserts on eBay and wonder if the are any good because they are fairly cheap. I would like to save some money right now so cheaperthe better.

Has anyone used these? Are they rough like full poly mounts ( vibrations?)

I used to have stock mounts with the ES inserts. It was a pretty nice ride, as far as limiting vibrations, but still gave some improvement over the sloppiness of the factory mounts. I know that a lot of people really don't like that setup, but I did see improvement.

ok, I have felt a b13 ser with prothane mounts and it was pretty rough if i remember, cabin noise from vibrations i mean. Am i remembering correctly or was it just a bad install or maybe a rough motor?

Also, where should I be looking for some mounts? anyone know any local places in socal where i might be able to pick some up this weekend?

prothanes will do that in any car, so will Place racing and ES. I think the best overall were JWT mounts. Not sure if they sell them anymore though.

I had my motor mounts filled in with Urethane adhesive. Best motor mounts ever. They are stiff, but not so stiff as to make the cabin vibrate like crazy.

I upgraded to the poly mounts and I am not as happy. But I don't have any more wheel hop.

I cant really say much about the Prothanes cause a) I've only ridden b13's with them installed. b) The prothanes I bought for my b13 are not installed yet cause I ran into a snapfu with my swap (broken screw in lsd tranny) but im looking foward to breaking them im. Eventho its been like 6 yrs since I drove my last Classic but man the JWT mounts I had on that b13 were Bitchin man.

Very good for the money and make the car feel a LOT more solid when shifting and launching. Don't worry about vibrations. I daily drive mine and it doesn't bother me one bit. If it does, then you shouldn't be worrying about getting stiffer than factory mounts anyways.
