Wow, the tastes must have been opposites between the two forums. From what I remember, all of the guys on this forum were just using them as roof spoilers.

The one I got didn't need to be cut in the middle. It was urethane and flexible, so we cut an end off it, then shaped it with a sander to match the other end.

I don't have pics of the process, unfortunately.

I guess that would come out cleaner than cutting the center out and trying to get a clean seam. Either way they have to be cut down to fit.

You dont need to cut it if you get the right size...

I have been looking at these for the trunk of my classic lately.
Ebay has any size or style you want 30-50 shipped.
Black or CF look,with or without led brake lights if you want.
I measured my trunk and it is like 50 7/8".
I saw a 50.5" and 51" from the same seller.
I dont have a link ,but search e30 or m3 spoiler...you will come up with a buttload of options

These are usually used for roof spoilers. The cutting refers to getting them to fit on the roof, not the trunk.
