Yeah sucks to be honest but hey I know it will come back all ready to go so I'm looking at the bright side of things.

It makes sense, you add more torque, you add more distortion. Nearly all engines require a line hone when using studs with a higher torque value. I agree that the ARPs should have some notes or something with them when you buy them to prevent this from happening to guys.

How many miles should he ran the car after rebuilding before expecting to race it?

He should live by my motto. Throw it together properly, then go out and boost the hell out of it. If it doesn't break, than it'll last forever

In all seriousness, I don't break in motors using the 500 mile rule. You break it in how you would normally drive it.

plastiguage the nissan bearings. then try some aftermarket standard clevitte bearings. you most likely come up with the same measurement..... and the crank will turn free. i hate using nissan main bearings.

My rule of thumb is to check for overheating and oil pressure. Then go! lol. The big thing you want to make sure of is: debris. Make sure your engine area where you are building it is spotless, and run enough oil through the engine to get rid of any metal shavings etc then it's all good.
