Hell yeah!!!! that's good to know that they sell that one in a 5" can! That solves the whole tightness factor! Good work! I hope you like it.

Yeah that's not legal in a strict sense. Its more legal in the "I don't get pulled over" so its legal sense. which is effectively the same.

Yeah also legal as in when I go to get smog checked I should pass due to the cat still being there.

If a cop really wants to pull me over, they will.

i just imagine that exhaust being pretty loud with the de, though i know thats not the point. youre gonna be surprised at how quieter its gonna be once you get the ve in there.

Yea when you get smog checked they will just say hey, you have no muffler wtf? Personally with a N/A car I would have gotten a test pipe and welded some flanges to take the cat in and out. I feel the cat causes so much restriction I think the 3" piping after it is worthless. Just my opinion. Still lookin sweet and a hell of a good price to do it.

It has actually been proven that the cat itself only causes a 1-2 hp loss. The hp gains aren't worth the cost of a test pipe IMO.

Yeppers. Again and again. I think the super short exhaust is worth a few ponies. I'd imagine they can hear him coming though.

Sweet
That sound alot like my dual side exit(until my cams switch)Then it gets obnoxious.
Mine is only temporary, while I am building my new 3" system.
I just picked up 2 of those same 5" round magnaflows.
I am going 3" full exhaust ,though.I am trying to make it as quiet as possible
I took them to a local exhaust shop and had them weld both together, end to end. Then I had them put a flange on one end to bolt up to my header(no cat)
After seeing that the 6" round ,36" long res.fits.(as per xxtokesxx thread)
I had them make the whole assembly 36" long

I am not sure what muffler I am gonna use,but I am thinking about the black stealth vibrant,if it will fit on an nx.

Sounds exactly like the setup I have in my turbo build log.

Yeah that was what I read as well. Besides there's already enough smog in socal... No need on making more. If I get really picky about tha extra pony I lost I might put a high flow cat on there but as it right now its fine.
