I did some work on my car yesterday. New valve cover gaskets and I replaced the PS reservoir. I been using Castrol since 60k, and Castrol Syntec after 80k and after 182k I think still looks ok.

Whoever said this is a direct fit, Is NOT. Is "ALMOST" a direct fit. I had some trouble aligning the return hose to the oil cooler.

I can't wait for my VC to start leaking. Becuase I'm dyin to see what it looks like under there. I got a measly 213k mostly turbo miles on there. I hope it looks half as good as yours.

looks good, i use mobil 1 only on my motors and mine always look that way under there. they stay a nice silver to golden color. Never any sign of sludge build up. Some people dont know how important oil changes are sometimes. If you use good oil and change it when your supposed to it will be good to go.

My great grandma doesnt realize that oil changes dont only have to occur if you put 3k miles on your car either. She had a 94 chevy 1500 truck with 60k miles on it, she owned it since about 96 and she bought it with 20k on it. The last couple years she owned it she didnt do an oil change for almost 2 years because she hadnt put 3k miles on it, haha, i told her but she still wouldnt listen.

I have thought about it but I always use 10w-30 and I don't think they make it in that weight.
