Since money is super tight right now I am going to gamble and only get the new B15 disk and reinstall everything. Hopefully the pressure plate was not my problem, if not I'll find out the hard way.

When I bought my unsprung clutch from a local guy who makes them told me that sometimes not having the guide pins on your block or tranny it could cause disc damage. True or not I would check that.

I am not going to complain about the ACT disk failing at all, in my opinion it held up fine and performed well. That clutch setup has been on there for years and for most of it I was running a GT28R at 9 PSI. I don't baby the car either. It only slipped about 3 or 4 times when it was super hot and the pedal feel/engagement was awesome. It had a good run.

As an update I purchased a B15 disc from GSpec and just finished up installing it. Problem solved. One B15 disc and one rear main seal later and I am back on the road!
The reason it would not disengage is because that spring would come out when its spinning and get stuck between the disk and flywheel, basicly connecting the two . ....You should be able to see where it was hitting the flywheel ....
And yea, I have seen it many times , and a few times with ACT Disks ... usually when they are abused ...

I dunno what you did to do that. I had an ACT hd pp and 6 puck disc for probably about two years now on a boosted car. I don't exactly drive easy, usually pedal to the floor. It has never ever even thought about slipping on me. EVER. That baby grabs all day. I say you buy new that's what I did and have not had any problems. If that doesn't help, learn how to drive.

Yea...the old wedge and grab. I think the piece that broke off got wedged and not the spring itself as the spring never fully came out. Even when I had the disc in my hand I couldn't pull the spring out...even with a screwdriver.

It just got old and worn out...that's all. As people have said earlier the older ACT disk design is not up to par anyway. I got a new B15 disc and everything is great now. Don't tell me how to drive as I have been driving manual transmission vehicles since you were on big wheels.
