Need help installing hi/low HID kit (HID gurus needed)
So i bought this GoldenEye Hi/Low HID kit only to find out it isn't exactly plug and play. Sure enough the guy who I bought it from is a flake and won't return my calls soI said F-it and decided to make it work.
I was able to cut the old connector off of my existing harness and wire in a connector that runs to the 2 prong connector on the ballast. So now I have one power (low beam wire) running to the ballast and another wire for ground (previous ground on the stock headlight).
The hid's now work fine, but since I only have the low beam wire connected I only have the single low beam. So if your following me then you know I still have the old high beam wire disconnected completely.
What I have left is two wires (red and black) coming out of the hid bulb with a connector on the end. I suspect this is the connector to switch the high beam function on and off. Any ideas on how I can make this high beam function work now? Anyone ran into this before?
Take it easy on me lol. If I had the money to burn I would have just ditched the kit, and got a plug and play unit. If I can't make the high beams work then atleast I have the low beams, so its not going to be that big of a deal if they don't work on high.
Thanks for any help!
