Clean RR sr20 ,inside
So i took off my RR valve cover to send it off to super dunner for some polishing action, he did my G35 and it looks pimp.
Serban , lent me a spare while my goes away. Thanks!

So i have mentioned in some of my threads how clean my engine is inside and today since i was poping it open i snapped some pics.

I got it with about 20 k on it ive put about 10 k since i got it 2 yrs ago.
This motor is spotless inside, even under the valve cover looks new.
these pics dont do justice,

Man, sometimes I really wonder if the weather of the South vs. the North has something to do with it. After one of my S13 DET rebuilds, I changed the motor oil religiously with Mobil1 10W30, but after about 20K miles, the head and the valve cover started doing the whole chocolatey color, and was nowhere as clear as how yours is. It just kept getting worse. The motor saw temperatures from below zero in the winter to triple digits in the summer. You gus in FL don't experience that kind of variance, and therefore I think the viscosity of oil and the changes in temperature it experiences has to have something to do with this. I am only saying this on a whim, but I'll be damned if I've ever actually seen a daily driven SR20 motor ever look like that in the North (unless it is owned by the guys who only drive theirs in the summer to avoid the rust from the snow and salt in the winter).

Anyhow, it looks like it just came out the factory. I for sure envy you.

I allways do the oil change every 4k with the mobil 1 10-30w , synthetic
I think the cars in the north can be clean as well its all about how the motor was treated in it early years, my original motor was very rich amber color and not silver, ive also seen engines that look like mud brown,
the cold to hot im sure have an affect on the oil
