Thread: O2 induction manifold & outlaw engineering spacer?

So I'm working on getting my lowport O2 induction manifold on. While the manifold was going to be off, I figured I would go ahead and get one of those outlaw engineering spacer kits and throw that on. Seems to be causing me some trouble now.

The stud that is on the very outside, on the passenger side seemed like it would definitely be in the way of the oil filter. So I pulled that out and just replaced it with a bolt. That too is in the way. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I think the lowport install instructions mention some bolt clearance issues with low ports.

^I was wondering about this. Did you get this info from the site? I'm interested in getting a O2 manny. Nobody makes them anymore that I know of. I would need one for a highport.

i figured the o2 manny uses a de flange so i wouldn't have any problems. Is the flange on a highport not in the same place?

I think the only way to make it work with the spacer is to go without that bolt...not sure if that would be a good idea though. Might have to scrap the spacer

You will be fine without that bolt, it wont leak with just that one bolt missing. Where exactly on the oil filter housing is it touching, why not grind it down a little?

The housing isn't technically in the way. I could just never get a filter on. Basically the entire nut would be in the way. I've decided to scrap the spacer. I'm just going to use the throttle body one
