i went out and grabbed the clutch arm and moved it back and forth with my hand. i could hear something in the transmission click. i could move it just fine. i can put it into gear with the car off.....?
I just have an exedy oem replacement clutch. the cable is an OEM replacement. the cable itself has about 50k miles on it. is it possible that the cable is so stretched that it can still move the lever just not far enough for any type of resistance? im thinkin that somethin inside the tranny is broke.

yes the cables do stretch over time. check the clutch arm with the cable disconnected. the arm should move to the point that the t/b touches the pressure plate. then pull on the clutch cable it should pull the pedal to the floor and stop. I would hate to have you pull the tranny off for a messed up clutch cable.
I tried that last night and i had about an inch to an inch and a half before i heard something in the tranny click. is that when it hits the pp. sorry to be such a newb.
