my AC quit on me today after 3 days

my 134a pressure dropped from 41 psi to 12 psi . and it does not get below 72 deg.

back to the drawing board, ill post pics of the B15 compressor to have for reference on here.

lucky me, the a/c in my car is still blowing cold as fuuuuuuuck. since i evacuated the R-12 and recharged it with R-134a, and added some PAG oil back in june.

^It's hard to skip corners with this a/c stuff. This is what people don't understand. If you do it right, it should last about 10-15 years without you having to mess with it. If you not, then 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, or a year maybe and your are back to the drawing board.

^I spy ice cold A/C . Everything worked out great with this project. I have zero leaks and it is ice cold. Getting this taken care of with window tint has made the ride in my car a lot better in the summer.

If I ever have A/C needs I'm coming to you first for advice.
Maybe my brother's car might get A/C again some day...

Ok, here's my a/c issue and belt squeel issue. Last summer, got a reman'd compressor and had my local mech buddy(from whom I bought my NX) install and charge up. A new drier was installed and new seals. Worked great for a few days. The high pressure hose blew, so I replaced. Shortly after, the belts started squeeling horrible and it was fall by then so I didnt even need the a/c. I adjusted the belt and only occasional squeel.

Fast forward some, this winter I noticed a hose hanging down. Yes, you guessed it was the high pressure hose. I just got one today, new this time. Ive also had alt bolt issues and got another one today as well (this regards the belt squeel). After adjusting the belt several times it still squeels(only sometimes) on startup then stops. Press the clutch in, and most of the time the squeeling stops. wth?

So, before I put the new a/c hose and double check the seals how can I check the condenser? I would hate to put on the new hose only for it to bust. Then regards the best squeel, could the alt pully be bad? Ive looked and dont see any issues, seems straight. Alt is now solid with the new bolt. Has anyone used the lower alt adj bracket? 11715+B an oem bracket. What else can I look at?

Take the system to a shop once you have it sealed up and let them do a leak down test. You really can't shortcut A/C because the weak link will make the whole system #fail. As for the belts squealing, it sounds like the alternator belt is still a bit loose. I usually crank the car up and tighten it while the car is running until it stops squealing. That way I know it's adjusted properly.

Update, turns out the remain comp I got last august was bad. Im using a shorter belt for temporary while I exchange the comp under warranty.

* Note: When you buy your a/c comp be sure they put it in the system and save your receipt! Luckily the guy at OReily Auto was pretty cool and using the part# and date found a purchase to use for the exchange. I would be up a creek without the proof! Im lucky they worked with me on this. Just a just a note of advice for others.
