The new AEM twinfires are just fine, just have to make sure its got the most current internals. Plus if you buy it new AEM always sticks by their products. So if they come out with a new upgrade for it and yours takes a dump they will ugrade yours for free.

But the newest version out there that is less than 2 years old works perfectly without issues. Get some GSXR1000 coils from whatever year you want, newer and lower mileage the better, wire up the AEM ems to the twinfire, run new wires from the Twinfire to the coils and be done with it. 1000+whp ignition system without a hitch.

Of your options, this would be my choice. Although there may be better options for the CDI box than AEM. Maybe?

I would give you option 5.

5. AEM EMS plus 4 coils from the S15 engine (Or 20V engine). Should be good for 600 HP in theory (although to be 100% sure you should maybe go with option 4) and you can save the cost and complexity of the CDI box. This is what I'm doing on my engine.

at 25 dollars a coil available at any auto store junk yard ect, how can you go wrong? if you feel they are insufficient then you can use ls2 coils or ls1 truck coils.

4 of these would be overkill and no need for external ignitors

AEM 30-2853 AEM High-Output Inductive Ignition Coils
