after you bored the cyclinders did you check to make sure the block and head were straight ??

87mm is the biggest you can go on stock sleeves correct ??

im glad this first engine has the head bolted down with standard gtir bolts..lol..theres a couple of owners going for reasonable figures using arps so will be interesting to see what happens.

Manny. It is nice to see someone interested in a big turbo street setup now days. You just dont see it anymore. I had a 450 whp car I drove to work and after 1 year i got burnt out on all the problems. And believe it or not the same thing that happened to you happened to me...

Both the head & block were straight. I am sure it is still striaght (I'll get it checked out).

As far as boost applications go, I believe 87 mm is the biggest you can go on stock sleeves.

i was thinking if u can use the steel ball from a wheelbearing in the bottom of the head bolt hole so u can keep the bolt from passing the threads.if u think about it would be the just like the good stuff

I went AEBS to and love them. THey bottom out and use up all the threads in the head. Good stuff!!!
