from what i have gathered since the normal 11mm sr studs have a sort of shoulder on them that is wider than the thread, the 12mm gtir studs do not..
Well from what I remember it was that the studs were a non-bottoming design, that are put into a bottoming hole, if the det ones have a shoulder then it should be good to go.
