Yes. I was the one fitting the CAI proto to my highport. I spent the time working with BB to ensure the most direct routing, checking fit in many, many configs. I don't like the way some CAI's bend all over the place to get to the fender, and they route the MAF too close to the TB. The all 3" Aluminum tubing is a big plus, too.

All I can say is a) sorry took me so long to get back here and provide info, and b) it works. It works GREAT. I've mentioned before when I was running this first as a short intake the throttle response was improved - a lot. The TB to MAF pipe is really well done. Throttle response from just about anywhere on the tach is just right there, and if you shift so you're around 3-4k rpm, stand on WOT, it just rocks to 7500 rpm. Very snappy, a little more edge to the sound now, too.

Motor has always been happy to roll 7500 to 7800 rpm, but it really pulls SO strong through the midrange in 2nd and 3rd gear now to get there. The smoothness of the power on/power off is very impressive. That has as much to do with the routing and length of the tubing, very straight and clean, as it does with pulling in outside air. The MAF adapter is a lot more clean design than my old one that came with the car, which had some issues sealing if I wasn't really careful.

But as a CAI, it really impressed me. After almost a 20 mile drive pushing the car very hard, ~50 deg out, I stopped and check my fittings. The piping was almost cold to the touch, the engine bay was really warm. The intake was not. The proto was not black powder-coated, otherwise same. I choose to tuck the filter high up to the fender on my B13. With the splashguard (wheel well/fender in place, it has no issues with wet road driving or rain. You would have to drive through about 10" of water to have issues. Even so, there are 3" water bypass valves available, you'd just put one between the 2nd and third section of the pipes if you wanted to be extra careful.

Excuse the mess in my engine bay, I seem to have caught Coleman disease, if it isn't functional improvement I just don't spend the time right now, too busy Turn up the volume, listen about 10 seconds into this vid, 2nd gear pull, and I don't even have to road to run it up to much more than 6k.
