What does it matter if the VE has a pilot bushing. It does nothing.

It seems you can bolt a DE flywheel to VE I am 100% sure every VE here has a DE flywheel on it.

i think i misunderstood this, thats why i asked bout the ve specificly..

I agree they are using lightened flywheels but these flywheels are made for DEs, so if they can bolt onto a DE thats means they can work on a VE. They are all using the same transmission when you put them into our cars.

Hey Andreas, so as I asked earlier, should I be ok for the time being driving the car around with the bad bearing while I get another tranny or get this one repaired?

Or is there a good chance that it's gonna take a crap on me sooner than later?

The only thing installing a pilot bushing does is make it so that you can use the clutch alignment tool. So you have to eyeball the clutch disc being dead on. Pretty annoying
