Tachometer Broken
As my car rises back from the dead (and me as well on the forums :rolleyes, I need to revisit this problem I've had since buying the car. The tachometer has never worked.
The coil in the cluster is fine, and I traced it back to something either within or before the ECU. I know of many people running a wire through the firewall to bypass the ECU entirely, but where is the best spot to splice into? Every spot I've thought of so far is only giving 1/4 of the needed pulses. I recall someone stating once that a good wire was on the camshaft pigtail, but since I can't find the thread or any others related, figured I'd post up.
Any help at all would be much appreciated. I don't want to go with a new gauge if I don't have to. I want to keep the classic look of the car. B-14 200sx SR20 lowport. No major modifications. TIA guys
