Thread: Clutchnet Question

Hey everyone,
I am currently looking into buying a new clutch set up (B15 se disk with some other pp)
A friend told me about clutchnet an i cheacked out their website and am stuck wondering which PP should i get
Should i get the green level PP or the yellow level PP, i want to be able to daily it and treat her like she owes me money in the same day, will the green level hold up w/o slippage or shouls i just spend the extra 80 or so after shipping ont he yellow
*My mods are the usual I/H/E '9lb. flywheel ? i dont want over kill but i want somehting that will be able to handle what i throw at her and leave me some room for somemore N/A upgrades?

Heres an Extremely cheap clutchnet setup that I have had on my car for the last year that has held up to 350whp daily.

Get the Green Pressure plate and the Six puck unsprung disc. I had a little bit of money and the will to experiment and see how the green pressure plate would hold up with a Six puck unsprung disc. To my surprise the Setup holds VERY WELL and feels stock. The only time I can get it to slip is if I try to punch it in fifth gear at 16lbs or higher (super stress on the clutch). Or if I try to launch down low with drag radials and all the tq has no where to go but to the sticky tires then back to the clutch. I think the only reason its slipping there is because the clutch setup has been put through its paces on my T25 setup AND my bigger turbo setup. Its still on the car right now. But im upgrading to a Red 2X pressure plate now with the 6 puck unsprung.

If you want a cheap setup that will take anything that even a T25 setup can throw at it then that setup is for you. Dont order the kit either. Order the Green Pressure plate by its self and then get the six puck unsprung by its self. Then order the TOB from Greg V (OEM). Walla you have a clutch kit that will feel stock and hold a very nice ammount of power.

Well i guess im going to get the green pressure plate
as for disks i am undecided here we go with my main options (sorry im not gonna get a 6 puck , again...);

If your gonna go with the green pressure plate then you should go with the 6 puck. Im telling you it feels just like stock. Engagement and grab are both the same as stock but it will hold more power.

If your going to go with a Full faced disc your better off spending more money on a better pressure plate. Its up to you though...

Well you do have good poing but i want something sprung, what are the differences in dirveability between the sprung and unsprung disks? And why would i need a better pp with a full faced disk? i want to cover all of the bases becuase i dont know much about the clutch applications..

I am running the red PP with the SPRUNG 6 puck and it feels stock and grabs without a hint of slippage. I am probably making just about 300whp, but will soon be upgrading to a gt2871r and p11 tranny,so i hope it holds up to that!

My NX got sent out today. I cant wait for it to get hear so I can feel it. Probably wont like it for the first day or so till i get used to it...then comes the hard launches on high boost! Brand New P11 tranny sitting here (whenever I break this B13 one), fresh clutch that'll hold the power, and some super sticky tires equals alot of fun this summer.

IM torn between these setups;
Clutchnet or gregv's stage 2 clutch kit, mind you i only have I/H/E and 9lb flywheel, but this car will see some st***t Racing (im prolly not supposed to mention tht so bleeped it out ) burnouts and alot of highway pulls so i want somehtign that will be fun to drive and will handle some abuse...
Also money is a factor,m im kinda broke, lol

SKIP ****ing clutchnet. The ****s just sent out my clutch that I orderd on the 4. I was promised that it would be here by Saturday and the stupid ****ing guy who works there George sent my **** out Ground. Its been OVER three weeks and I still dont have my ****ing clutch yet. BUY from somehwere else. I will never buy form those guys ever again!

4 FACKING WEEKS FOR ME TO WAIT WITHOUT EVEN RECIVING THE CLUTCH WITHIN THAT TIME IS UNACCEPTABLE
