Broke trunk torsion bar
If is not one thing is another, I guess my car is showing her age.
This is one of the bars that hold the trunk lid open.

I just need to know if this is a common problem on these cars?

Dayam what'd you do? Slam the trunk open?!

Sorry to hear your bad luck. Never heard of a torsion bar going out.

^^

hahaha, no, I put something in the trunk and when I was closing it suddenly I heard a loud bang. I though somebody hit my car with a shopping cart, when I opened the trunk I noticed that was very heavy to open and did not stay open. One of the bars broke, and it broke with a strong force because it damage one of my speakers.

Well, I guess I will have a trip to the junk yard.

All tension bars are not the same for each year, just remember that, did a quick reference check thru Courtesy Nissan website. Don't want you to go waste your time in the junkyard and find out it doesn't fit. The one I have is for a 93-94 SE-R.
