Thread: What Do You THINK???

Okay, So i've heard ppl say all the time, the first gen Silver Top is the best, some say it can be be pushed far beyond limits. When others say the UK SPEC SR20 is nice, because of its honda like rev limits, so high above the normal SR20's stock rev limit..then some of us say the VVL *new thing* is the best!! but to everything that has an advantage comes a disadvantage.
I would like to hear from you guys what in terms of SR20, do u like..

What makes a SR20DE/DET better than any B16a or b18c or 1jz or even a 4g63T....

What makes an SR20 a SR20, the choice of US!!??!!

for me as far as the highport SR20DET is concerned, is its power outpu, though i feel the Bluebird motor is sometimes underrated next to the GTIR motor while there are some big differences that makes the gtir slightly better, tho with those differences on the BB motor the BB would make more power than the gtir.

hmm nice, what do you think of taking a SR20VVL and making it into a SR20VVL-T

do u speak of the VE-T that comes in the XTrail?

sorry for not explaining. i'm pretty sure that people are referring to their turbocharged VVL or "VE" engines as "VE-T" or "VE+T" as opposed to a VET that the XTrail came with.

Well there is the SR20VET, which is the highly sought after VE Turbo. You can't find those in the states, unless you have a damn good hook up, and occasionally Mr. Miko has had one, IIRC.

Normally, when someone says VE-T, they mean SR20VE/SR16VE + Turbo = SR20VE-T.

If you can get your hands on a stock VET, they're worth more than gold.

well here in trinidad ive seen a few xtrails with the SR20VET...im sure that soon they are going to come in the bamboo..engines and gearbox alone, so im sure sooner or later i would put on in my car..but i want to hear the prices..

^^^ you should try get or source a few of those X-trail VET from junkyards and import it or sell it here in the classifieds, I'm pretty sure you'll have a good business
