Ok but explain how JWT get their flywheel to japan. Considiring that: there are already a lot of japanese tuners, not many speak or read english to find JWT on the interweb and cost of frieght of a flywheel would huge to send to japan from the US.

Maybe i am a tool, a tool of education... that doesn't change the fact that you were clearly wrong.

I don't know how many factory flywheels you've seen, but it can't be that many. The moment i saw a picture of the flywheel that Autech posted (which i have inspected that flywheel in person weeks before this thread was even posted), i immediately could see it wasn't factory, and the same goes for the OP's flywheel. Its am amazing co-incidence that 2 flywheels, looking so similar, in 2 very far parts of the world, once sourced from a car exported from Japan, as great as america is, why would a Jap buy an American part when they have such a huge parts base on their doorstep. Just doesn't seem logical.

I know you thought you were right at the time, we all make mistakes, don't get defensive about it and learn from the experience on how it is different to a stock flywheel so you can identify one in the future, maybe at a wrecker and bag yourself a bargain. Features such as its smooth texture on the back, the lack of balance holes on the back, the integrated ring gear, all are very important points that make it stand out immediately as an aftermarket component when compared with a factory flywheel.

Maybe JWT bought them in a batch from Japan to rebrand/resell ? Cheaper than making their own special production run at the time perhaps?

A tool of education? How about a tool of the obvious, since you clearly stated that he was wrong after the post was made stating the reduced weight, etc. If you just had to get your two cents in, then you could have just kept those pennies in your pocket for another day.

I find it pretty rude that you'd just blurt out "sorry, but you're wrong", after it was already quite obvious that he was...

I have been sellling JWT products for about 12 years now and I have never seen a flywheel like that. JWT has always sold aluminum flywheels.

JWT early flywheels were blue.

The newer JWT flywheels are black.

That is a JUN flywheel.
