Cross-member and engine plate?
Hello,

Is the engine supposed to be sitting/touching the plate on middle of the x-member or is the engine not supposed to be sitting on the x-member at all? I'm trying to diagnose an issue with weight transfer on my car.

Thanks!

Umm, yea, sounds like your motor mounts are toast or the engine mount bracket is loose , broken or bolts missing ....should be no metal to metal contact ....

Correct, should be no contact with that piece on the crossmember.

Check the rear mount, seems to be the most problematic.

Hey,

sorry i didn't follow up on this. I never saw it bumped up.

Well, the good news is that the cross member is NOT touching the engine on my car. I thought maybe the cross member was supposed to be touching the engine. So I'm glad to find out that's not the problem.

Thanks for the help!
