Both of my CV boots are torn, brand new axles
As you guys probably know, I'm using a maxima transmission, SpecV axles and SpecV spindles on my motor swap.

The Axles are brand new under warranty and are beefy as hell. Althouigh they're from Autozone. Keep in mind I'm putting down 255whp N/A, the axles should still be able to take it because they're the same as Maxima axles, just shorter.

Anyway, there's grease everywhere in the wheel wells, both sides, the outer boot is coughing up CV grease everywhere. The problem is, I can't find a tear, it's coming from the boot, but the boot doesn't appear torn. Someone help me out here, could it be my power? ride height? alignment? does the wheel turn beyond the axle's limits? I'm quite confused. Here's some pix:

ahhh man thats bs, i've never had that happen to new axles. that sucks that all that grease got all over your pretty caliper and strut.

but i have had the seams in the rubber boots form tiny pinholes. i think it was from too much angle on the cv.

Woah, that's odd. You rotated them all the way around and don't see any holes, cracks. slits? From the pics that looks 100% like you have a crack and the mass is accumulating right where the crack would be. Sorry that doesn't help at all, I have never seen something like that before. How long did it take to get that dirty?

When the steering wheel is straight are the axles straight?

Pretty much what you have to be careful with is the angle of the axles. They should be straight side by side.

We had this issues with my cousins H22 swapped EG. The motor was to far forward causing the axles to angle back to much especially under load. In his situation he was snapping the axles. He was making over 700 whp at the time. Just somthing to look at.

I would say that they're not perfectly straight, but straight enough. We positioned the engine so the transmission lines up with the hubs. Pretty much you would be able to see through the hub, through the differential and out through the other hub.

I noticed it on one and I figured it was just road debris tore it. But then I saw it on both sides and I gave it a quick inspection and I didn't see any tears on either boot that stood out to me. I'll do a more thorough check later, but it's an odd situation.

The Autozone replacement boots are pretty thin and chinsy compared to the OEM ones. Maybe just go with $tock one$
