what!!!!!how do i check for iar in them? this is an all stock head with cams....

When you have them out you shouldn't be able to push them down(the HLA's that is) You should bleed them and they should be very solid and not be able to be pushed down by you. Mine are very soft and will need to be bled or possibly new ones.

They HLA is your hydraulic lash adjuster. It sits under your rocker arm. It's the little ball looking thing that the rocker pivots on. The other side of the rocker sits on your shims, that sit on top of your springs/retainers/keepers.

You have 8 HLA's. Pull them all out and check for play, then bleed them if they need to be bled. If bleeding them doesn't prevent them from falling, throw them away and buy new ones. I believe the RR DE motor has the best HLA's, according to Dre. I'll do some searching to verify.
