Thread: Koyo Radaitor

Will the original electric fans and housing directly bolt onto the Koyo Radiator 53MM (R1977) or do you have to go with the slim fans and what about clearence issues or space between header and the larger radiator with fans? This is for an B13 with SR20VE.

so that's roughly two inches...I would just measure and see if it'll fit.

I figured that somebody surely must have installed one with the factory fans. I haven't gotten one yet, just wondering if there is any problems/differences I need to know about (no surprises).

They will fit but itll be really REALLY tight! I ran my car like that for ao summer until I got slim fans. Itll look like both fans wont fit. But they both will...I had them on with the SSautochrome

i have a koyo with the stock fans and shrowds in my b13 se-r with the sr20ve and top speed header(ss auto), it is very tight, but it will fit, i actually had someone cut down the o2 bung on the side and welded the bolt in it to get satisfactory clearance.

I have a koyo on my nx with stock fan, the second fan that sits on the passenger side had cut the wire on my O2 senesor, and that was after removing all of the heat shields off of it. it bolts up fine, just has a very tight fit. i just took it off for clearance, so far i havent had the need for it, even going through a few 110+ summers in az. no ac and no condensor in front of the rad for plenty of air flow.
