I thought I remember you telling me it was the 22" one? Maybe not. Maybe you said you didn't remember? It certainly looks longer than the 18" one. =/
Oh well...

Well I had to go out to the storage unit anyway so I looked at the box which is nice for larger hand tools (pry bar torque wrench etc). 12259 is the part #. so the dimensions are the same as you posted but it has a different finish.

I think I got even more muffler under my SE-R that I had when I lived back east. Dunno about the P10.

I will say that I think the magnaflow resonator is probably better for absorbing sound than the dynomax bullet in my pics.

Ben: Serban is saying theres no way to fit 4 more inches in length of muffler under there. He said 14" (IIR the dimensions correctly) is the most us P10 guys can roll with.

Good thing you checked! Sorry for the bad advice. I'll try to remember that for the future.

I think 16" is the longest possible on a P10 before the rear swaybar gets in the way.

If I ever get my P10 back on the road then I'll probably fit a 3" system on it. Longest 4" or 5" round muffler I can fit without removing the cat and a 10"x5"x16" rear muffler.

I dunno if you remember the dyno that was posted of a 1.6 Almera with a 3" exhaust. That gained power everywhere.
No t a SR info ..but very interesting - G20.net - Forums
Pity the pic is gone.

I took a peek under the car today, and it looks like there would be room for 2 of those 5" resonators under there while keeping the cat. Now I'm not 100% sure on that as I just stuck my head under there and didn't have a tape measure handy.
