Do you mean solid metal? I'm not aware of anyone who makes them (with the exception of the front dogbone), but it wouldn't be too hard for an experienced fabricator to weld some up.

I've thought about it before, I think the best way to do it would be to weld circular pieces on the sides of the stock shells, then drill through the middle and weld in the sleeve for the bolt to pass through. If it was a serious car, I think it would be pretty bad ass.

There used to be some by Place Racing or something but I do not think they make them anymore. Prothanes are a cheap and effective alternative though

Maybe unbolt it and see how bad it is, you might find the rubber has just been trashed through. Weld some sides onto the mount circle and drill through, then you have a solid mount!

Sure, any time you make something stiffer in you drive line it puts more shock into the motor and transmission. The motor mounts help absorb shocks to the drive line while isolating the vibrations from the rest of the car. It is basically the same idea with a sprung clutch disc. A sprung disc has springs to absorb shock when the clutch is dropped. If you are really wanting to have solid motor mounts and still have a little bit of shock protection what a alot of people do is replace all of the motor mounts with prothanes and the front dog bone with a solid motor mount.
