Back when I was considering a hood vent, I always thought the Renault Twingo vents would look the most authentic/plausible.

Put them over on the driver's side, possibly towards the front of the hood to feed air to a sealed section. They're found on other Renaults and Nissans, I just can't think of them right now.

With the new turbo project I figured it would be good to get some heat out of the engine bay.

I have always liked the Subie side vents, I see them working well without being too flashy.

i like my evo hood vent on my se-r, Im even debating on putting it into the carbon fiber hood when i get it but i really wouldnt want to cut it though. Not that im gonna need it but it does a hell of a job getting rid of underhood heat. The car noticably ran cooler and didnt take much effort to keep it running cool.

I did similiar evo style hood vents in my ser back in the day, and never finished the project. I will locate pics and post them.

I was planning on installing a naca duct on the front drivers side of my carbon fiber hood. The thing is I have a ugly scratch right there I think it would be a good way to hide it. Here's a quick photoshop someone did for me on g20.net.
