The end of the Tsuru??
So as i'm browsing through Wikipedia just looking at the history of the Sentra, i noticed at the very bottom that the Tsuru will be discontinued in summer of '09?

WTF??!! Mexico has had the beloved B13 for so long and so successfully why let it go ???

I'm hurt now, damn you Nissan!!! Carlos Ghosn FTL!

Yeah, the Tsuru is gone, but it was only the GA powerplant, anyway.

If you're worried about parts, I wouldn't be. I'd expect parts to be readily available for many years to come.

I'd say 18 years is a good run.

Is it just that 4 door on Nissans website?

Can't see that as a great loss, looks terrible.

It's not the car that's a tragic loss, but as long as that car was being made, then parts are also being made.....

I wouldn't say it's Ghosn's fault it's being discontinued, it's more his fault that they couldn't come up with a comparable car to replace it.

Tsuru B13 is still manufactured down here, only in 4 door configuration. The engine is a GA16, but it is a slightly different one, the GA16DNE, it has a vertical TB, lacks the VTC that the DE had, and for emissions, it is 105hp instead of the 110.

Most parts are interchangeable with the classic SE-R, and mostly cheap. For example, I can get a brand new control arm with all the bushings for 50.

Again, I wouldn't worry about parts NOT being made any longer.

You'll still find parts for many years to come.
