Thread: Another cam thread

I'm in a dilemma between 2 different sets of cams I have, and would like some opinions to sway my decision. I have set of BC stage 2's and a set of tomei pon cams, but the tomei's have a couple nicks on the highest point of one lobe.
Now I'm looking for all facts on both of these cams, weather it's good or bad. I want info on reliability, expected whp gain, and any thing else performance related. I want facts and personal experience info on these 2 sets of cams only, no comparison to any other cams. I don't want any comments like "BC suck", unless you have or still own a set and you add something like, they snapped in half, or you had absolutely no gains.
Either of these cams will be going into my p10 w/U12 motor and the specs are as follows:
stock motor and turbo
stillen velocity stack w/blitz Stainless SUS filter
3" stainless apexi downpipe
clutchnet light flywheel

that's about all I have installed, but the list of parts I have, waiting for install are as follows:
BC springs and titanium retainers
rocker arm stoppers
adjustable cam gears
tubular, stainless gti-r manifold
stainless 3" rwd j-pipe modded to fit fwd
Hotshot FMIC kit

My future mods are as follows:
GT2871r turbo
555cc injectors or similar
Z32 maf
ajustable FPR
3" cat or test pipe
3" catback exhaust
UR pulley's
o2 induction style mani (made by me)
outlaw spacers
Q45 TB
reflashed ecu for for the above including a 4bar cam program

theres already a bunch of threads about the bc cams and there gains on turbo and non turbo cars and there opinions im sure you can find one.....

i would not use the other cams simply because its nicked up. i dont know how it will effect the car if it does at all but me personally i would put cams that are in better condition

Yeah, I've seen the BC cam threads and the only definite thing that wasn't answered was where to set my adjustable gears at. I'm going to see if anyone has the poncams installed and what the gains are...maybe I'll get the nicks fixed. I'm also trying to gain info on either cams with some or all the mods I listed.

well from what i read everyone starts at +2 -2 or whatever. gotta find that thread again
