BIG Transmisson problem
well its not really the trans its more about the 3 bolts that hold on to the bracket in back of the motor. Lets just say im really stupid when it comes to doing things i do them fast and they come back and break on me. i only had one bolt holding the trans in the rear and now the tread is gone no way i can fix it. the top one cracked and im left with just one. i doubt its fixable so im thinking for getting a trans of the just yard and and crack the trans in half and slap it on with the bell housing. i need some pointers on this anyone have a trans laying around that dont need the half heres a pic

not my trans

well, now you know to take your time and do it right ONCE!!!

and you could prolly just take a bigger bolt and drive it in, drill out the hole and retap with a biger bolt or maybe Heli-coil the hole.

really unless the bell housing has cracked, blown apart or melted you can always repair it one way or another......

Even when cracked they can be welded by an experienced welder.

to seperate the two cases, you are gonna need to take the 6, 10mm bolts out on the left side in that picture, then you will need to get some snap ring pliers and pull out the snap ring and the two pieces should seperate

Also if its been taken apart before there may be some gasket sealer holding it together as well, so a bit of prying may be needed.

very little pressure. but there are two snap rings that need to be removed. The first one then pull off the two moons then there is a second one holding the bearing. Make sure to get them both.
