heres what i ran into when i had my car inspected. they failed the dark tint and blacked out side lights as well as my exhaust. this would have understood if they cought the other things Extremely WRONG with that car!!!!!!!!!! like the trans mount being held on by a few threads of the bolt, the rear brakes being seized and nearly completely rusted rotors and quite a few other issues mechanically.

i called the state police and explained how i felt i was being singled out since all the "ricerish" stuff on my car was called out however the major safety issues were completly over looked and this infuriated me. this also did not sit well with the officer i was speaking to. i dont quite recall how we went about this issue but i got my money back from the inspection and he more or less told me to "try to pass the inspection.....if you know what i mean" since he know i had already looked the car over and was in the process of fixing it slowly but couldnt afford to fix it all at once. and he told me he couldnt take any action on the shop because it would require a proper inspection on my car and i would then need to fix everything as well.

Glad to hear the EGR stuff worked out for yah.

Sounds like it's time to get the authorities involved.

Good. That's the road you need to take now I feel. Stay on top of them and use the law in your favor.

It is not as quiet as stock but it is by no means "loud". Yea...the EGR stuff worked out great...Thanks a million.

I am now sitting at my desk at work mad as hell and straight up unproductive. I'll tell you another thing about these asshats. In Jersey they do a 2 minute run on a dyno at the inspection facility which simulates everyday driving, this is when they insert a probe into the tailpipe and test the emmisions. With any other car will drive it onto the dyno and simply cruise in a middle gear at a constant pace nice and easy. When they test any performance import they will bog the engine during the test (producing more emmisions) to try to get it to fail, I F-ing hate these pricks.

Any suggestion will be appreciated....But I will fail inspection if it is noticeably louder than stock.

Sorry for your woes and hopefully you get it resolved quickly. Quick off-topic question for you. You say you have a 2.5 exhaust but are using the Flowmaster 60-series. In my search online, the flowmaster is listed as either a 2.0 or 2.25 size. I have the same size exhaust as yours and I'm trying to quiet it down (instead of my magnaflow muffer) and a baffled flowmaster might be what I need. Is your 60 series a 2.5, and if so, where did you get it?

I used to own a B15 Spec V and I clearly remember that somebody was using one in his car

That was on TheVboard.com forum, actually shut down so I cannot give you more information

Probably difficult to find, but if you can find one I highly recommend the HKS muffler.

They Dynomax mufflers are not that loud. I have it on my turbo car and you can't barely hear it but it is a bit louder in my brothers NA car. The muffler still looks stock and I've gotten great WHP numbers with it.

Wouldn't a turbo help quiet a car's exhaust vs an NA? I have a big-ass resonator and OEM functional cat, and dynomax straight-through muffler and I get a decent amount of droning in the car. It is not hugely loud and it is far from raspy, but the droning gets annoying. At around 75mph, the pitch of the drone is barely off-key from one of my favorite Radiohead songs, and it sounds horrible. Btw, I have a 2.5 catback with hotshot headers on an un-cammed NA with bolt-ons. The exhaust is in preparation for a cammed VE. I am willing to drop a couple of HP for a quiet DD.
