Damn bro sorry about your car. You really do not want to deal with the headaches getting a salvaged title in PA retitled to a "R" title (Reconstructed in PA). I was in the process in picking up a salvaged title car in VA and asked the tag person I deal with regularly and was told it's not worth the hassle.

Go with option 3, if you already found another 200, just take the parts off this wreck one and put it in the new car. Part out whatever you can off the 200 and try to make some money back.

dont salvage it. If you need help finding parts theres a few B14s at local yards.

i think that I am going to buy back the car and fix that car itself. it is best for my situation.

if anyone has experience in doing this with a car or knows anyone that could help me with info, i would greatly appreciate it.

dude if you want to buy it back that means you are going to let the insurance total it. looks like you thinking bout the money you going to get rather the car. it will be worse and more of a hassle in the long run to get the salvage title. and that is if you put the money toward the car. when you get a big check in the mail ppl tend to spend it on other things rather then the car. find a parts car and build it back up.

If your not worried about reselling keep it. Since i own my car and its been totaled twice im not worried about selling it. They totaled mine for a little bit of nothing. I still have my title too and it dont say salvage on it.

They keep telling me that if I go forward with this, I must surrender the title and then it becomes salvage title. then i have to jump through state of PA hoops to make it titled again. (which do not seem too bad)

but i do not really care about resell value. this particular car is my baby.

If that is the case, then do what your heart and gut tell you to do. Ignore your cranium and any intellectual reasoning.

My Classic was smashed in a very, very, similar manner and the damage is near identical. I hit at a bit more of an angle, you hit straight on. However, I can fully empathize. Glad you're OK, it sucks big-time about your wreck.

It took me a while, but my Classic is being restored right now.
