HVAC blower/fan not working
On my B13 my HVAC blower is not working, on any setting. About a year ago it stopped working on fan settings 1-3, but worked on 4. Replacing the fan resistor under the dash solved the problem. Now it is not working on any setting. Is this the blower motor?

Edit: Yes, it was the blower motor, but now I'm having problems getting it out. See post 11...

Reach up there and see if you can make it rotate freely

Just looked up there and it is completely sealed, or so it seems to me. Looks like I'd have to pull it out to see if I can turn it. Does that plastic cap at its base just pop off to expose it?

Check to see if the switch has burned out.

The blower in my DD 200sx died in the middle of summer, but it died slowly (making noise, blowing slowly, etc) over a couple of weeks. You could probably use a volt meter to see if the signal is making it to the blower.

How do I check to see if the switch has burned out? I just checked both fuses under the dash and both are fine. I have a feeling it was kind of working over the past week, but not really. With the music going and the noise of the exhaust, I couldn't really hear it. It was only as the windscreen wasn't defogging tonight that I figured out it wasn't working.

By switch, do you mean the actual switch on the dash that I move from 0-4 to change the fan speed? Can I bypass it? I mean, if I pull the wires off and touch them, would it start the blower if the blower was working, or would I just fry myself?

That would work yes and you may indeed fry yourself but its not as bad as the shock I got last night from my ignition coil lol

I decided to do it the less dangerous way and bought a voltage meter. 12v's is getting to the plug, so it is the motor. In trying to get the stupid thing out, one part of it is caught on a silver box on the right side of the passenger footwell. What is that thing, and is there any way to avoid taking all of that out to get the motor out? It's like 12 degrees here, and the less time I spend in the cold, the better.

Damn, and I threw my B13 away just recently, I could have pulled the fan motor out for you.
