Aaron,
Thats very strange. A super cool NX...
Most NX's have the opposite problem... TOO MUCH HEAT.. due to lack of air flow..

Your temp gauge is probably not accurate or YOU have a special NX
Test your Temp Gauge & single pin Temp Sensor.. One is probably busted..
Cause they didnt make any Special NX's... Just ones that likes to overheat in the summer!!

I actually bought the more expensive one, which was the higher temperature one, from what I recall, might be time to go out and get another one haha

I've checked it with my laptop. Keep in mind mine is not turbo'd. Most of the ones with problems always seem to have an intercooler in the way lol. Mine has NEVER overheated and does just fine during the summer or even when it's over mid 40 degree weather. It just stays cool during the winter which doesn't bother me. I'll run with the laptop in the car sometime soon to see how high the temps get to, just out of curiosity. Another thing to keep in mind is that I drive like a grandma. Never get over 3k rpms when on the street.

Mine doesn't like to heat up either and cools down the same way IMO it is more from the cooling mods I have done, mines t25 and front mounted.

Right now I just put card board in front of the rad and intercooler. I also covered the hole in my hood, put straight anti freeze in and took the fans off. It's does ok if I stay above 3k and keep the heat off or hit boost

Vadim did you run your coolant lines back through your TB for winter? My guess is that would do it alone

hey mine is the same way.in the winter it takes about 20 minutes jus too go above the bottom line.i have water wetter in mine, bout 3/4 bottle.i also have no a/c condenser, just rad...its cold as **** in the winter cuz theres no heat for most of my drive to work haha

I reinstalled the TB heater once I picked up the Thermoblok spacer set haha. Disconnecting it could actually keep the water from cooling down with cold air from the CAI/FMIC.

But Icing is a bit scary, and in the summer it helped keep the water temps down by 10*F.

Dont forget the thermostat gasket Vad..

Jere, the cardboard thing really does work. I tried that when I had too much Water Wetter installed and got a little more heat...

I do liquid gaskets for that stuff

I have an automatic, so my car is seldom over 3k rpms too.
Mid 40 degree weather?? It was 12degs this morning and in the summer we get 100+ Hot & humid weather. Water Wetter does wonders in the summer.. But, will freeze you in the winter if not careful.
Yes, the datascan will display what the ECU is seeing (it reads from the temperature sensor with dual plugs). The dash dummy gauge uses the single pin sensor. Sometimes just cleaning or jiggling the connector will fix the gauge reading.

Vad, it actually doing the opposite.
The TB heater keeps the throttle plate from freezing in the winter by running the hot coolant thru it. When its disconnected and lines connected, the throttle body is by-passed (keeping the TB cool).
The CAI/WAI air does not provide any antifreeze cooling at all..

So if you live where it seldom gets cold, by-passing the TB should let the intake air remain the same temp (supposably).
But if you live where it get very cold, by-passing the TB could cause freezing of the TB and sticking butterfly.

Ive seen a few bypassed TBs do just fine in coldest winter weather. You just must warmup the car before driving in very cold weather.
