Thread: 98 b14 power window problem

Okay guys peep this here. My drivers side window rolls down, but not back up. To get the window to go back up, I have to hook a jumper wire to the window motor and hook the other end of the wire to a cordless drill battery. What is the malfunction? Is it the motor or the switch?

Well if you are giving power to the motor and it rolls it up then it's your switch. A bad window switch is actually a very common problem in our cars.

Okay then. How much does it cost for a window switch? It has to be for a 98 though. Right before I sold my 97 SE-R, I tryed to use my window switch from the 97. That did not work, they have a different conector.

try and pull really hard up on the switch ive seen that work numerous times.

i know i had to replace my window switch because the switch would only let it go down unless i rapidly pulled the switch to go up 100 million times.

I have to pull up kinda hard on my driver window switch for it to roll up. They have 98-99 switch on eBay for like $60 shipped. Do you have a SE-R or a SE(L)?
