Thread: New Rims, Need help with tires!

Well I'm getting new rims for christmas and I need to know what tires to get and what size. There 16x7 40mm offset. I plan to get some spacers for the rear. I wanna put some bigger tires then 205 but I duno if they'll fit. I need someone to track with and will make the ride from Ohio to Georgia. I was thinking the Falken 512's or BFGoodrich g-force T/A. I would like to get 215's but not sure of the fitment.

I would good with Falken 912's for sure.

If you can get that offset closer to 30mm with spacers then you can rock 225s I think. There's a thread around here about turbo tire choices and fitment on Vadim's B14 you should check out. After your size is decided, then think about what tires and we can recommend some then.

215/40/16's?

And I will not get 912's again I do not like them. I would go 512's if I did Falken, and Azenis wear to fast for me and for a drive to Georgia.

Would 215's fit? I also already ordered the rims in 40mm offset, couldn't I just grab some 10mm spacers?

If you don't care that your wheel is held up by the wheel studs instead of the center hub.

yeah hahah this might not work also if i have to use the centric rings :/ ok so what size tire would I be able to run with the 16s without rubbing?

225/40 or 215/45 both fit fine, no rubbing on a B14.
