Happly holidays from my favorite blog!
He puts the words right in my mouth a lot more eloquently than I would.

http://datruthcometh.blogspot.com/

For all those of who believe in what you do, make kick ass products and do your part in providing enthusiasts with "the goods," I salute you. I know that it must be painful watching sh*tty ass parts getting so much play - even in "legitimate" magazines it seems - but quality and performance will always pay dividends. Keep your head up.

For all those of you who don't give a fu*k at all, sell private labeled bullsh*t products from God knows where, products labeled "Made in Japan" yet made elsewhere, and tell more lies about your brand and products, I give you the double middle finger salute. You know who you are. You make knock-off wheels; supposedly "engineered" brake systems; "competition" coilover system; aero kits that aren't "aero" at all; turbos with turbine shafts that snap and get ingested into the engine; intercoolers that are based on a core from a refridgerator; and so on. You know who you are.

For those of you who do your research, save your hard-earned dollars to buy quality products and wrench, I salute you. You are what makes the industry go around. You support companies that do real R&D. You support an industry that is rooted in passion and ingenuity and realize that both do cost money to pursue. Keep up the good work. And take pride in your ride.

For those of you who buy cheap sh*t because you've convinced yourself that "it's just as good," stop kidding yourself. Seriously. Take your head out of your ass. Keeping up with your homie and his ride isn't the purpose of having passion for cars. If you can't afford it, then save your fu*kin money til you CAN afford it. And stop spreading misinformation on the internet. And stop defending these sh*tty ass companies. They don't give a sh*t about you. They only give a sh*t about that dollar in your pocket. Why in the world would you support such companies? Do you really think K-Bee suspension in made in Japan? Yet they sell for $700? Suckers, you all.

And to automotive "journalists" out there, write some better sh*t. Don't write editorial because a particular company advertises in your magazine - are you listening Performance Auto & Sound (PAS)? It's no coincidence that editorial for company X sits right next to advertising for company X. Educate the public, pass on da truth, expose the pretenders and stop patting yourself on the back because you happen to write / shoot for magazine ________. You aren't celebrities. Having a throng of compact car owners as your fanbase makes you about as good as a Z-list celebrity.

DaTruth will continue to have periodic updates. For those who support what I write, thank you. You are the fuel that keeps this fire going.

For those who think I'm out of my mind, don't know what the hell I am talking about, criticize my viewpoints and all the other baloney you write in forums or whatver other medium, thank you. As you deem my words as mere conjecture, I do so in return for your words.

Happy holidays and here's to a prosperous 2008 for REAL companies

We are all entitled to our own opinions.

In this guys defense: I understand this guys point... but reading all his other blog's he is kind of an extremist. I get the struggle b/n cheap parts and R&D parts... but his opinion is just coming from his spectrum, his world.

We all know that a lot of the people in those magazines that buy these cheap parts aren't touge winners, auto-x champs, drag sagas or road racing guru's - they are just doing this car thing because its a hobby...

That's like saying why make a Sentra fast when you can buy a Porsche. The porsche is better quality and has had so much more R&D.

But we still spend money on tuning products.

very nice blog. it does suck to see so many poor quality parts on what would be an otherwise good car.
