i will use hitachi and bosch remans. bosch does make some bad products, i will be the first to tell you that and I work at a bosch service center. the thing is i hope the bosch alternators go bad, since i work at an authorized service center, they will pay me book time shop labor charge if it goes bad. i would not use a parts store brand reman.

Everyone wants the cheapest parts, what do you expect? They all go to mexico and get "remanned" and sent here with little checking, poor quality controll, and inferior electronics.

And everyone wants those SSAC headers too...

Never will I EVER deal with NAPA parts. I've never had anything but problems with NAPA. They've never sold me a decent part. I'd much rather buy junk yard parts over napa. At least from the junk yard I have a better chance of the part actually working for more than a week or two. lol

Can anybody explain why I have the worst altenator set up in the world? It never fails to constantly throw the belts. This is probably the 20th belt I've had to put on since I've owned the car.

Maybe you have the wrong pully on your car. If you put the wrong pully on your car it will not align with the alt, ac and ps. It caues the belt to be on at an angle and it grines it self down on the metal.

i'm only running the alt and wp. my car's a 93, the alt is from a 92, wp pulley is from my old block. the jdm block is from i believe a 91, but everything is oem sr20. my dad was just telling me that the pullies may be misaligned, but i'm not seeing how that could be possible with all oem pullies...

I figured out the problem with the belts being thrown off. The crank pulley went bad. The larger part of the pulley that runs the alt came loose and was shaking back and forth under any load. That's why I threw the alt belt and that's also why the ps belt keeps turning inside out on the pulleys...

If it's not one thing, it's another... lol
