Knock sensor harness
Well, I've searched and searched but can't find what I'm looking for. In the process of a major rebuild involving Darton sleeves and a 91mm stroker kit, I seem to have lost the electrical connector for the knock sensor. Does anyone know what harness it comes out of? What is near it?

This is a highport USDM SR20, by the way.

Thanks all!

Should be on the same harness as the starter, IM grounds, single and dual wire coolant temp sensors etc. It's the square plug

slight hi-jack, but while we're on the subject, what is all connected to the harness that the Injectors and Dizzy connections are in? Can I remove the injector, distributor harness without cutting it?

Awesome, thanks Jer. I'll take another peek there and see what I can find.
Doctor G - are you referring to the high port SR20 or low port SR20?

On low ports its on the injector harness, but it makes sense if it is on the starter one for high ports

Lol the Dizzy is not connected to the injectors in any way except via ECU.

The injector harness should be a subharness of the main harness.

If you want to replace your injectors, just take off the harnesses of the injectors and thats it.

Remember, if you have to cut something to remove something, your probably missing something, because I haven't had to cut or break ANYTHING unless I was just extending the wires (o2 sensor in this case)

the knock sensor is the next plug after the oil sending you unit

Thanks, Jen. I found one wire coming out next to the oil pressure sender, but there should be two for the knock sensor, shouldn't there?

The knock sensor is a one wire plug, the plug is black shoots off from the oil presure switch harness on 91-93 SERs

Is it really a one wire plug? At least on the b14 there are 2 wires and both are actually ran back to the main harness. There's the main wire and then there's a braided/shielded cable wrapped around it. I always thought that braided cable was just to protect it, but nope needs to be spliced back into the harness as well. You can check for continuity between that braided cable and the injector harness it goes back to one of the pins. I'm pretty sure I ran into this when re-wiring the thing a while back...wasn't until I wired that shielded cable as well did my knock sensor code go away if I remember right.

b13 could very well be different, idk.

Then by your theory a MAF on a B13 - B14 is 4 wire.

MAF has ground , read wire and 12 volt. It also has a sheilded wire over tge ground and read wire.

Anyway the knock sensor itself is setup for 2 pins but only one pin is in use. Which makes it a one wire plug
