Knock sensor is two wires on P11's and B15's.

Yep that is correct.

The conversation was about the highport motor which is found in a B13.

Anyway the knock sensor itself is setup for 2 pins but only one pin is in use. Which makes it a one wire plug

Does the shielded wire over the ground and read wire actually correspond to a unique pin on the engine harness for the MAF? I'll have to double check in the FSM, but if you do a continuity check on the shielded wire on the knock sensor it actually goes back to a unique pin on the injector harness and that is also being sent from the injector harness plug into the main harness as there's a wire on it on the main harness. Now, is it possible that wire eventually goes to nothing? Very possible, but I'm pretty sure my knock sensor code didn't go away until I also spliced in the shielded cable. Made no sense to me at the time.

Looks like the shielded wire goes back to Joint Connector 1 inside the engine bay. Which looks like it's eventually grounded?
