Oh, yeah it will bolt up.

Will the stock SE-R fans fit as well or do you just get aftermarket slim-lines ?

^I'll be running stock fans. This RAD is just about a 1/4 of an inch thick than the 1" or 15/16 as some like to say NX rad that is currently in the car.

The rad is desihned to fit the GA16 and DE. To fit the DE you have to cut off the GA16 smaller necks so that it flows properly for the DE.

Bingo.

I got that exact same information from GregV at GSpec.

The GTIR radiator is a direct bolt-on into a B13. Zero modifications necessary.

I have a brand new OEM GTIR radiator in the nose of my Classic. Along with two (2) Spal 10" fans, and silicone radiator hoses.

I've never seen any testing, but I have to assume the Nissan engineers know what they are doing. I've never heard of anyone running a GTIR radiator having cooling issues in stop and go traffic (without other issues at least).

To say the Koyo is "overrated" implies that it doesn't perform as well as it should. That's not really accurate. I would say it's "overkill" and I agree that most folks would do fine with an NX rad.

BTW, have you ever price checked a brand new Nissan radiator? The Koyo isn't much more expensive than a plain-jane SER radiator. I would argue that makes the Koyo a bargain.

The Nissan GTIR radiator is a bit over $300.00. IIRC, it was $330.00. I can double check the price off my invoices. I am trying (in vain) not to pay too much attention to the costs of my build.

As you can see, it is aluminum with plastic end-tanks in construction. For that rather steep price (not overpriced, I am sure that GregV gave me a very good price on my "genuine Nissan part") I was a little disappointed in Nissan with the plastic. You'd think for that kind of money, Nissan would turn out a fully aluminum radiator. However, GregV (and my mechanic Mike) says that 99% of the current radiators available are aluminum/plastic construction.

Also, Mike (my mechanic) will be straightening out (more than) a few fins that got bent in shipping. See the picture above. No big deal, just time-consuming work with a tooth-pick or other "fin straightening" device. Nissans OEM factory packaging sucks, especially considering the price of the part. GregV repacked the radiator, yet it still suffered some minor (cosmetic) damage en-route to me. However, there is no "structural" damage to the radiator.

^You mean the one from my post? I asked that question and the guy said I would not have to do that. I will see when it gets here.

Wow thats a lot for the GTIR Radiator which is stil only 16mm thick - how come you guys have to pay soo much??

I really strongly suggest you guys look into the Autech Rad - its got the same amount of fins per square inch as the GTIR ones do, but its another 100 thicker through the core AND uses the DE sized outlets - not the GTIR. GTIR outlets on the top is SMALLER than the DE.

PT no of complete radiator inc end tanks - bolts starihgt in, uses factory fans, clears turbos: 21410-0M400

I have had GTIR and NX2000 Rads right next to each other and the Inlets and outlets are the same size.

I actually have a GTIR rad in my car right now, which we know is the Nismo core. It seems to have the same thickness as the NX2000 unit also.

Here is something to look into. Mishimoto is making B13/14 Radiators. Not sure on dimensions but just keep checking on it for any updates.

^You were right. After I double checked and pointed him to this thread I assume he saw that it was universal. He was nice about refunding my money though.

P.S. Still looking Engine bay as antifreeze all over it. Plus it was been 28 days since that company from the first link got the return from the wrong core RAD they sent me. I'm still waiting on my $179.95+$10
