Rods and cams
ok, would changing the rods and cams on my DET be necessary? lets say i wanted to upgrade, just get some better or stronger ones...
-i was thinking Eagle rods esp H-beam, but why are they so much cheaper than crower, pauter and scat?
-also thinking crower cams stage 2 beauce the idle wont be rough, no ecu tuning, but then again, since i'll probably be getting my ecu tuned again anyways, why not stage 4 cams, but then i'll have the rough idle

any advice or input?

Your stock rods are fine. Just put the stg2s in and have some fun.

your rods are fine but it depends on your power level, i would recomend rods for anyone looking for over 500..

as far as camshafts they are a nice power upgrade and i personally would recomend them.

i am running paraelle 264/264 which i thnik is the best upgrade

no i'm not looking for anything near 500, no more than 325, but not now, in the future...
so the paraelles are better than brian crower?

paraelle means that the camshaft profile are the same 264in 264ex

i have seen alot of dyno comparing staggared camshafts and paraelle and the 264/264 made more whp than staggered staggared is like 264/272

other people might say different but the dyno comparing is proof i think

ok, i think i get it, so are u talkin about the duration? for example the stage 2 cam for boost applications is 272/272, the site i'm lookin at, none of them appear to be staggered

Get a set of JWT S4's and use the stock springs/retainers. You can usually find a used set for $450.

paraellle is what you want, if you look for camshaft comparasions the paraelle are always somewhat better at making more whp, and give a greater power range 272 are good s4 are good too

^^aight thanks guys, it'll be between the jwt s4's, crower stage 2's, and the parallelles, i'll do some more research on the three individually, leaning more towards the s4's and crower's tho...
