Wanted to see if anyone has a suggestion what it can be,first it started to idle crazy (up and down) now you try to sart it wont stay on you got to give it gas for it to stay on.once you let it go it turns off.

you check for the vac. lines make sure they didn't come loose or something?...(make sure every clamp is tight ...i would suggest also using a can of throttle body cleaner or something. If you spray the cleaner into a open vac. line the idle will go up.)

^^Agreed.. Next would be the IACV-AAC and Air Regulator. Test & clean them..

If you cannot find any vacuum leaks, check your base idle. As the throttle body accumulates sludge, the base idle changes. What you are experiencng could result from the ECU trying to overcome a base idle that's now set too low after stuff accumlated in your TB.

Just to be safe, you might want to clean the throttle body and then set the base idle.

^I'm gonna have to do this. My idle has been acting funny for the pass month.

Take it from someone who just went thru this whole ordeal. It is the Auxilary Bypass valve. I did a complete thread on this a few weeks back. I did every tune up, cleaned, and checked everything. Call Rock Auto or shop one locally. They come in an aftermarket box, but are OEM inside.

^Did you check/clean your IACV? So you just replaced the auxilary bypass valve and your problems were fixed?

Look for the thread. I am on my cell. I even have video clips of the tests.

You can take the air regulator out, and test it. It's a simple little bimetal that heats up from current being passed through it, which operates a shutter that bypasses air. So take it out, see where the shutter is, then put 12 volts to it for awhile and see if it moves. It can be adjusted, there's a nut on it, so try that before replacing it. Also check the wire harness to make sure it's getting 12 volts, it should have it when the ignition switch is on.
